Misc Facts
The species name magnificum may no longer be correct since DNA evidence has proven that all weeping forms are of C. japonicum origin (Li et al. [HortScience 37(3):595-598. 2002]. It seems to be definitely a different form of pendulous Kastura Tree.
Author's Notes
I have observed both the japonicum and magnifium weeping Katura trees. The magnificum is definitely more upright.
