| Maintenance | It may be necessary to trim the plants lightly to maintain their size. Heavy snowfall can cause plants to split and open, so I have tied them together to bring them back into shape. As with most Arborvitae, it will accumulate a significant amount of dead foliage in the center. To get rid of the brown foliage, I like to tap the plant with the flat side of a leaf rake. Arborvitae is one of the easiest evergreen shrubs to transplant. |
