| Fruit | Thick-walled, medium hot, reaching 3" long by 1 ¼" wide.. Start yellow and then change to orange or red. The Wenk's Yellow Hot is related to the Jalapeño, a popular pepper with a Scoville range of 2,500 to 8,000 SHU. |

| Propagation | To grow peppers successfully, plant the yellow, flat seeds at least six weeks before transplanting them outside.
