A leaf scar is the mark left by a leaf after it falls off the twig. Usually are crescent-shaped and have small, circular bundle scars within them.  Bundle scars are where the vascular bundles run from the stem to the leaf.  A leaf scar will be located below a bud, branch, or bud scar.
