Cultivar Origin
Named after Gus Krossa, an early American Hosta collector who received this plant as a seedling from Japan. The plant was name by Alex Summers.
Author's Notes
I have a few of these planted in a garden for over 25 years. When the surrounding trees were smaller and less dense these plants would shoot up 5 foot flower scapes. Know with the trees maturing the plants are still healthy and living but do not flower as much as before.
