Misc Facts
Gallium comes from the Greek word gala "milk". Certain species of Galium were used to curdle milk. At times the seeds have been roasted as a Coffee, young spring shoots cooked and ate and the entire plant was steeped to make a tea.
Author's Notes
In areas that are infested with this plant it is almost impossible to walk through because the prickly stems grab on to your clothes.
