Prefers fertile moist soil but does equally well in average. The soil must be well drained.

6", clusters of pale blue, one sided and drooping, fade to a medium brown in the fall

narrow, blue, arching tapers to a fine point and rolled inward.

The Blue Oats grass resembles a Fescue but is much hardier in Zone #5.

I have used this plant many times in different gardens and has proven to be hardy to zone # 5. Has been growing in my garden for over 10 years. (as of 2016)
