FlowersThe tubular flowers are singular on upright branches near the top of the plant; tubular corolla has 4 rounded lobes that are fringed or frayed at the ends. Flower supported by a 4 lobed cup-like calyx. The sepals of the calyx may have a purple ting. Blooms in the fall. Open on sunny days. Plant is an annual or biennial.
