DimensionsI have seen this listed as a slow growing plant, but when I have used it, the growth rate seems to be moderate. I have only grown this shrub for a few years and it is hard to judge the ultimate size Some list this plant as around 20 feet in height by 5 foot spread (ref. #1-Dirr) or 7-9 feet tall by 30" spread.(ref #11-Bloom). Time will only tell.
Maintenancevery little needed
Propagationcuttings
Native SiteThe species Juniperus scopulorum "Rocky Mountain Juniper" grows from Canada to Texas.
Author's NotesI had two of these Junipers growing in my garden, and they reached over 12-14 feet tall by 6-8 feet spread in about 12 years. Had to be removed because of disease problems.
