In January of 2001, the web site PlantsToGrow.com came online.  It was created to display the thousands of slides and tens of thousands of digital plant images I have accumulated over the past 25 years. It became an online textbook for my high school horticulture classes, a picture book for my clients and presentations in my adult night classes. The website gets hundreds of visitors each day from over 50 countries with over a million hits per year.

My knowledge has been acquired over 30 years of working in the green plant industry. I have been a landscaper, designer, gardener, owner of a perennial nursery, operator of a greenhouse and horticulturist at a garden center. However, I do not claim to be an expert on all the plants on the website. The data on the site is a compilation of my horticulture experiences and the knowledge of experts in the field.

As of early 2013, the data format of the website was modified. I am now in the process of revising over 3,000 pages to include more of my personal plant experiences.
