Cultivar Origin
A selection introduced by Synnestvedt Nursery of Illinois in 1967, originally found in the collections of the Morton Arboretum.
Author's Notes
I have 6 Chicago Lustre in a back border. They are about 10 feet by 6-8 feet spread after about 10 years (2013). I especially like the glossy green foliage. Seems to be extremely tough plants.
