MaintenanceAs with most grasses you have the choice of cutting them to the ground in the fall or in the spring. I prefer the spring because of winter interest. When cutting back in the spring make sure you don't cut the new green growth at the base.

Author's NotesI have had this plant for 6 growing seasons (2016) in my garden. The gold variegation is not as prominent as I would like it to be but still a nice hardy plant.
