Author's NotesThe first time I saw this plant was at the Chicago Botanic Gardens in Glencoe Illinois (USA). It was growing on a hillside in an area that gets some direct sun with intermittent shade. It was in full bloom but I could not see the labels. I asked a gardener if she could go into the planting and read the label, which she kindly did.
