clusters of deep pink 3.5 inch flowers with white center, fades to pale pink, slightly fragrant, has orange hips, flowers in flushes
Fruit
orange hips
Dimensions
can reach 5 feet
Maintenance
Using hand shears or extended reach rose pruners I selectively cut back each branch at least 50% in the spring. Should be done every 1-3 years. This controls the size, promotes new growth increasing the flowers. Dead heading helps to promote quicker flushes of flowers. But by dead heading you will lose the rose hips. This is a matter of choice.
Cultivar Origin
Hybridized by Roy E. Shepherd in 1958. A cross between Jean Lafitte x New Dawn
