When a plant will return to its original
stage. This happens many times with cultivars or varieties that are
not stable. I watched over the period of 4-5 years as a Variegated
Norway Maple reverted back to green. When I ran a perennial nursery
one of my workers found a variegated Daylily Stella D'Oro. We named
it "Little Debbie". After one growing season it reverted
back to the original type Daylily. It is important to remove the reverting
part of the plant, because it is usually more aggressive than the
original plant and in time the entire plant will revert back. |
