palmate veination
A type of venation where the veins originate from the apex of the leaf and radiate out. Like the fingers of a hand, radiating out from the wrist. Common in some aspen, maple, etc.
The red arrow is pointing to the apex of the petiole. At this point all of the main veins radiate out from this point. This plant is a Cottonwood.
